Manchester United are winning 2-0 against Wigan Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup on Monday night.
United are out of the Champions League, the Carabao Cup and sit eighth in the Premier League, which means the FA Cup is the only option for silverware in what has been a disappointing season so far.
Erik ten Hag’s side also need to bounce back after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest before the New Year. Wigan are towards the bottom of League One but have a history of causing FA Cup upsets.
However, United have a 2-0 lead thanks to Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes. The Reds have created plenty of chances and will hope that Fernandes’ penalty has killed the game.
